The Historic Noumea, places to visit in New Caledonia

Posted 1 year ago by avatar freez in response to avatar astroboy's question: I've heard that Noumea is the main sight to be seen in New Caledonia. is it true? (give a different answer) .

Although all Noumea is absolutely worth visiting entirely, the historic part of it is-in my opinion- the most captivating. the Place des Cocotiers, with "flame trees" that fill the area with red and orange, is for sure a wonderful destination. So is the "Musee de Ville", open from Monday to Saturday, between 09 00 to 17 00. The entrance is free and the museum offers a wide collection of old photos, as well as many scale models ofNoumea in the 19th century.
